The Seattle Storm Dance Troupe is holding auditions
Seattle Storm Dance Troupe auditions are scheduled for Sunday, April 3 at Seattle Pacific University’s Royal Brougham Hall.
SEATTLE — Seattle’s most decorated professional sports franchise is looking for a little reinforcement: dancers.
The Seattle Storm Dance Troupe is recruiting. Auditions take place on Sunday.
“Come have fun dancing with us, the worst thing that can happen is you make a new friend,” troupe manager Shay Levine said.
The dance troupe is for anyone between the ages of 5 and 15.
The team has many vacancies.
“The good news is that because we haven’t had a tryout in three years, most of the dancers — except one — have aged, so this is a perfect year,” Levine said.
The dancers will perform at special events and all Seattle Storm home games this season. Experienced dancers are encouraged to audition, but Levine said passion and confidence are key characteristics the troupe is looking for.
“It’s a great experience working with choreographers and it’s a paid gig, so for a lot of people this could be your first job,” Levine said.
Seattle Storm Dance Troupe auditions are scheduled for Sunday, April 3 at Seattle Pacific University’s Royal Brougham Pavilion from 1-5:30 p.m. Dancers should bring a head shot, signed release, and card COVID-19 vaccination as well as a birth certificate.
