Stephen Curry disrespected the dance crew in the Game 5 blowout
The Memphis Grizzlies completely destroyed the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night en route to a 39-point win. At one point, the Grizzlies without Ja Morant had up to 52 points in the game and they made sure to let the Warriors know.
Ahead of Wednesday’s beating, Stephen Curry made a bold statement about Golden State’s strategy for Game 5. The Warriors superstar used the Grizzlies’ “whoop that trick” mantra to describe what the Dubs were supposed to do to their opponents. Unfortunately for Curry and Co., the exact opposite happened.
During a time out, the Grizzlies dance crew decided to sing their song “Whoop that trick” right in Curry’s face. The level of disrespect was unreal (h/t Ben Golliver of the Washington Post):

Stephen Curry knew they were getting their asses booed in this one, so he just had to laugh at the incident. Even Draymond Green had fun with it by joining in the chants.

It was a huge win for the Grizzlies and an utterly embarrassing loss for the Warriors. Memphis will want to keep their celebrations under control though, as this Dubs team won’t forget the events that unfolded Wednesday night.
